Mezi is a poet, photographer and Zen student. He lives in Vancouver, BC, on the traditional and unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.​​​​​ His work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Malahat Review, Plenitude Magazine, filling Station, EVENT Magazine, The Inflectionist Review, RPD Society, and elsewhere. He's also the author of Medellín (2017), a self-published chapbook of photopoetry for the benefit of refugees.​​
